Tips for installing HT pipes

Safety opening:

Don't forget the inspection opening when planning a new riser! Should a malfunction occur, you can rectify it quickly and easily with the Marley HTRE cleaning pipe.

Slope:

Compliance with these specifications prevents blockages in the pipe: if the gradient is too steep, there is a risk of the water shooting over the solids and clogging the drain. For this reason, the feed pipes are also installed in the downpipe of the wastewater pipe at an angle of 87° where possible - i.e. with a gradient of just 3°! This applies to branches with the same diameter as well as reduced outlets. During installation, the socket end should always point in the direction from which the water is coming! Wastewater pipes should always be laid with a slight gradient - this ensures that the pipe is sufficiently ventilated and noise levels remain low.

Length compensation:

Important when laying HT pipes: Temperature fluctuations can cause the material to expand. To prevent the pipe from coming under tension, it needs a little slack. Simply pull the pipe 1 cm out of the socket again after joining.

Tip for shortening pipes

The ends of HT and KG pipes are slightly chamfered during production to make them easier to fit. If you cut a pipe to size, you can make installation easier by slightly chamfering the pipe end with a file. Using a lubricant will then make it easier to fit the pipes together.
